Your Public Map Channel

Every MindMeister user has their own public map channel, accessible from their dashboard. When you make one of your mind maps public, it will automatically appear in your public map channel (as well as our public map library).

You can change the description displayed under your name in the My Account area under Personal Info.

Besides a collection of all your public maps, it also lists the public maps of other users that you’ve liked in the past.

If a person stumbles onto one of your public maps and likes it, chances are they will visit your channel to see who’s behind it and whether there are any more useful maps created by you. That’s why a well-managed map channel is not just a great resource for others, but also an advertisement for you and your work. Here are a few tips on how to get the most out of your channel:

  • Provide a good description about who you are and what your public maps are about
  • Upload a friendly profile picture (avatar)
  • Add a link to your website or blog to drive traffic there
  • Add your public map channel to your XeeMe, LinkedIn, Facebook and any other profiles you might have
