Add Connections Between Topics on iOS

This feature is available to all users


Add connections between topics to show relationships between different ideas, draw links and make your map more visual. 


Add a Connection

To add a connection between two topics:

 

  1. Tap on a topic.
  2. Tap + from the menu at the bottom of your screen.
  3. Tap Connection.
  4. Tap one of the green plus signs around your topic to choose a connection point.
  5. Tap on your target topic.
  6. Tap the green dot around the target topic to choose where your connection will end.

Edit a Connection's Style

After drawing a connection, you can change the connection’s color, style, shape and start/end icons. To do this, tap your connection, then choose an option from the menu which appears:

 

  1. Style: Change the color, shape and appearance of your connection line.
  2. Line start: Select a new icon for the beginning of your connection.
  3. Switch Direction: Switch the start and end icons of your connection.
  4. Line end: Select a new icon for the end of your connection.

Label a Connection

Add a label to a connection line to name the relationship between two connected topics:

 

  1. Tap your connection to select it.
  2. In the menu which appears, tap the ellipsis (...).
  3. Select Add Label.
  4. Enter your label and then tap off the label to close the label editor.

Edit and Delete Labels

To edit or delete a label, click the ellipsis and select Edit Label or Remove Label as desired. 


Remove a Connection

To permanently delete a connection:

  1. Tap your connection to select it.
  2. In the menu which appears, tap the ellipsis (...).
  3. Select Disconnect.
