MindMeister uses the classical mind map format, which consists of a single, central topic from which sub-topics branch off in all directions. Each subtopic can have multiple subtopics of its own, and so on.
There are different ways you can align the branches in your mind map:
Free: This option lets you position the branches freely on the map canvas
Aligned: MindMeister automatically aligns the branches for you
Left aligned and right aligned: MindMeister aligns all branches on the left i.e. right side of the central topic.
Org chart: MindMeister aligns the branches to create an org chart.
How to select an alignment
To change the alignment of your mind map, click on the ( i ) button in the top bar. In the dropdown menu that appears, hover over the current alignment, then select a different one from the list that appears.
