Map Alignment (Map Formats) (Old Version)

Old Article

Watch out! This article refers to the old version of MindMeister. If you're a new user, head over to this article to find the most up-to-date information on this topic.

MindMeister uses the classical mind map format, which consists of a single, central topic from which sub-topics branch off in all directions. Each subtopic can have multiple subtopics of its own, and so on.

There are different ways you can align the branches in your mind map:

Free: This option lets you position the branches freely on the map canvas

Aligned: MindMeister automatically aligns the branches for you

Left aligned and right aligned: MindMeister aligns all branches on the left i.e. right side of the central topic.
