Team mind maps are no longer available
Since October 14, 2026, MindMeister has only one type of mind map: a private mind map that is shared with the people who have access to it. The Team maps category no longer exists.

Previously, MindMeister had two types of mind maps: Private Mind Maps and Team Mind Maps. Now, every mind map is private, and you decide who can access it by sharing it.
- Mind maps are invite-only. Only users who have received an invitation can view or edit a mind map.
- Team members no longer get automatic access. To collaborate with your teammates, invite them to the mind map via the Share dialog.
What is a private mind map?
Private mind maps are invite-only.
Your mind maps are stored on the Dashboard under My maps. This category contains mind maps you created and mind maps that have been shared with you.
Only users who have been expressly invited to a mind map can view and access it. To check who has access to a mind map, open the Share dialog.
What happened to team mind maps?
Team mind maps were mind maps that were automatically visible to every user within a team, without an invitation. They were stored in the Team maps category in the left sidebar.
Since October 14, 2026, team mind maps and the Team maps category are no longer available. All mind maps are now private and shared only with the people who have access to them.

How do I share a mind map with my team now?
It is no longer possible to move a mind map to Team maps or back to My maps. Instead, share the mind map directly with the team members who need access:
How do I remove someone's access to a mind map?
Open the Share dialog and remove the user or change their access level. Because team members no longer get automatic access, removing someone in the Share dialog removes their access to the mind map.
Why can someone only view the mind map and not edit it?
If a user can only view a mind map, their access level is likely set to “Viewer.” To allow editing, click on Share and update their access level to grant editing permissions.
Where can I find the current mind map limits?
