Who can use this feature?
- This feature is available for users on Personal, Pro and Business plan.
- Users with a Basic subscription can find information here on how to delete their account.
This guide outlines the steps to cancel your subscription and subsequently delete your account. You can delete your MindMeister account after canceling your paid subscription.
Cancel your paid subscription
How to downgrade/cancel your Personal, Pro or Business MindMeister subscription:
- Click on your profile avatar in the upper-right corner.
- Click on Plans in the left sidebar.
- Click on cancel subscription.
- Check the box to agree to all cancellation effects.
- Click Continue to Cancel.
- Fill out the form and choose an option. You might need to choose a sub-option.
- Click Continue to Cancel.
- You've successfully cancelled your subscription. You can keep using all the paid features until the end of your subscription.
Check that your cancellation went through
After you cancel, Plans shows the date your paid plan ends, as in the screenshot above. You keep your paid features until then and are not charged again.
Cancelling shows an error or doesn't respond?
If you see a message such as Unable to process your downgrade request, the Continue to Cancel button stays grayed out, or the page just reloads, try again in a different browser or in an incognito/private window.
If it still doesn't work, contact MindMeister Support. Tell us which plan you want to cancel, and we'll cancel it for you and confirm it in writing.
To delete your account permanently, please follow the steps below.
Delete your account after your subscription ends
If you are on a paid plan and want to delete your account, you have two options:

Option 1:
Cancel your paid subscription yourself and wait for your subscription to end: You will not be able to delete your account yourself until your subscription has expired. Once your paid subscription has ended, your account will be downgraded to a free Basic plan. After that, you can delete your account yourself. -
Option 2:
Cancel your paid subscription yourself and then contact Meister Support: The Meister Support can delete your account immediately.
