Export Your Mind Map

Certain export options are only open to paid users. See below for details.


MindMeister allows you to export your mind maps into several sharable file formats, including PDFs, image files, word documents, powerpoint presentations and more.

Export Options in MindMeister

Some export file formats are only available to Personal, Pro and Business users. Take a look at the table below to learn which export functionalities are available in your plan:

Export a Mind Map from the Map Editor

  1. Click the cloud icon in the top-left corner of your screen.
  2. Choose Export... from the drop-down menu.

  3. Select a file format for your export. Click Mind Map Formats to export to a MindMeister (.mind) or Freemind file.
  4. Select Export or Next in the bottom right-corner of the window.

    Export Details

    For certain file formats (i.e. Microsoft Word or Powerpoint), you'll need to specify content and layout options for your export. Select your desired options and click Export to create your file.

Bulk Export Your Mind Maps

Bulk exports are only available to Business users.

To bulk export your mind maps:

  1. Follow this link. 
  2. Select the format you'd like to export your mind maps to via the drop-down menu.
  3. Click Export.

Bulk export might take some time - You will receive an email with a download URL once it's finished.
