Click any mind map on your dashboard to open the map editor. From here, you can view, navigate, edit and invite others to your mind map.

The Main Toolbar

Use the main toolbar to style, format, and add actions to any map topic. You can access the main toolbar simply by clicking on a topic.

The main toolbar offers the following options:

• Actions: You can add connections, comment, add notes, upload images, add attachments and emojis.
• Style: You can change a topic's appearance.
• Tasks: Select the task icon to see all tasks from MeisterTask that are currently linked to your mind map.

The vertical toolbar on the right side of the map editor also includes:

• Layout: Click this icon to change the selected topic's layout. 
• Themes: Click this icon to choose a predefined theme for your mind map. 

The Top-Left Menu

Use the top left menu to edit your map's properties.

1. Click on the logo to open the menu to
   • return to the Dashboard.
   • duplicate your mind map.
   • move your mind map to another folder. 
   • manage who has access to your mind map.
   • view previous versions of your mind map.
2. Click the search icon to search for content in your mind map.

The Top-Right Menu

The top-right menu allows you to search, undo/redo changes, invite others, switch to MeisterTask and access your account preferences.

1. Click the cloud icon to export or print your mind map.
2. Click the presentation icon to start presentation mode.
3. Invite other users to your mind map.
4. Access the accounts page and adjust your preferences.

The Lower-Left Menu

Use the lower-left menu to zoom, recenter or view your map as a bulleted outline.

1. Click this button to activate outline mode.
2. Click this button to toggle between mind map and outline mode.
3. Click the + and - keys to zoom in or out.
4. Hover over the toolbar to see this option. Click this icon to enable Focus Mode.
5. Hover over the toolbar to see this option. Click this icon to recenter your map view.

The Help Menu

Click the question mark in the bottom-right corner of the map editor to view keyboard shortcuts, visit our Help Center, ask the Community or submit a feature request.
